Major update on Clickaider

February 4th, 2008

After few months of hard work you can see a lot of new features live on ClickAider. Some of them may bring new bugs, so please be patient and report them promptly. The faster you report them the faster they get fixed, and to make more convenient for you we now added quick Feedback feature allowing you to contact us from web site easily.

So what did we add in this major update ?

  • Dashboard -Now you can view multiple reports in a short form on the same page - quite convenient to overview what is happening on your site. You can create as many custom dashboards as you like (with any filters you choose), plus we’ve created couple of default ones for you to enjoy.
  • Period comparison - Compare two periods for the same report on the same page avoiding need to switch between two browser windows
  • New Design and Usability Fixes  - We’ve heard what you say and improved service design and usability so it should not look nicer and be easy to use
  • Feedback Tool  -  Let us know what you think about the server or just ask for help directly from service page. This helps us to identify your account and respond to you faster
  • Minor fixes  -  We also had done a lot of small improvements which are easy to see but hard to describe, so login to check it out.

Now we start the next round of fixes improvements and new features.  Please use feedback and let us know what would you like to see the most.

Google Channel Variable Changes

October 29th, 2007

Last week was very active in terms of changes Google implemented in their Adsense code. First they changed channel variable in IFRAME call to google_ad_channel probably with rational of having variables named same in JavaScript code and IFRAME call. At ClickAider we’ve discovered the change and adapted the code to the new variable name.

Clickaider now tracks Vibrant Media Intellitext Ads

October 24th, 2007

Today we’ve added support for tracking clicks on VibrantMedia Intellitext  Ads.   At this point we only track “hovers” but it is already pretty cool tool to find out which highlighted keywords generate the most interest in your user audience.  We may add support for click tracking as well if there will be enough interest - this requires a lot of javascript black magic and testing.

The Vibrant Media  Intellitext click tracking requires a lot  of extra JavaScript code to work so you need explicitly enable them in your ClickAider tracker code.

Demo Account is now available

October 19th, 2007

The best way to explore ClickAider is to register and install it on your site, especially as it is absolutely FREE. But for those who would rather want to see it in action first we’ve created ClickAider Demo Account so you can see all the stats without having to put ClickAider on your own site.

We used our own MySQL Performance Forums site for demo account, so these are real live stats available in the demo account.

Clickaider gets Custom Reports

October 11th, 2007

We were not reporting updates for quite a while, though we’ve done a lot of work on Usability improvements and bug fixed during last month and a half.  We’re getting a lot of users feedback which helps us to make ClickAider even more suitable for your needs so please continue.

You probably noticed couple of days ago we rolled out major update with a lot of navigation usability improvements and custom reports feature.   Basically now you can save any report configuration and return to it via single click. Quite handy.

We’re also continuing to add new reports to the system, yesterday we added 3 reports  - Browser, Browser Class and User Agent.  Enjoy !

Printing, Export and User Variables

August 14th, 2007

As you might noticed couple of days ago we did another significant update of ClickAider functionality following users requests.  We’ve added User Variables meaning you can now have custom reports which are tailored for your application. For example you can store user login in it to see which users tend to click on Ads or  may be categorize your pages in different page classes. Possibilities are endless.

Print layout is handy if you would like to print report and so do not want to waste space on menu and controls.

Export Feature is allows you to get report content in CSV or XML which can be  used to manual data download to the application as well as web services integration -  Feel free to use curl or other package with HTTP authorization to get exported data.

Bidvertiser

August 7th, 2007

Added initial support of Bidvertiser system. All publishers are welcome to test accuracy of statistics and availble reports.

Advanced Filters

July 16th, 2007

We’ve added support for Advanced Filters to ClickAider. Now you can select to filter on multiple items rather than only one as well as filter by exclusion. So now for example you can see clicks for users from English Speaking countries by focusing on users from US, UK, Canada and Australia. Same way you can exclude these countries to see behavior of non English speaking users. Search keywords they come by and advertisements they click on can be pretty different.
